How to find the model number for Samsung Galaxy device?
What Is The Model Number For
A model number is a specific number that applies to a range of products (i.e., the Note10, Tab S4, etc.). The number will vary depending on the year the product was released, its colour, the carrier, and some other factors. Every model that falls into that category (same colour, etc.) will have the same model number. For example, certain S8 models have a model number of SM-G950U, whereas some S9s have a model number of SM-G960U.
Find via Settings
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap About phone. This may be displayed as About device on older devices,
3. Details about your Phone number, IMEI, Model number and Serial number will be displayed. Please tap on Status for older devices to view this information.
Back of the device
1. Look at the back of your device.
2. The IMEI, Serial number and Model number are printed on the back of the device.
Note: If the back of your device was previously replaced, the IMEI, Serial number and Model number may longer be there.
Box/Packaging
The IMEI, Serial Number and Model number should be printed on the official packaging or box that came with your device.
