How many SMS can I send? Is SMS supported?


The Omerta Encrypted SIM card does not support sending SMS. In certain circumstances the SIM card may receive a standard text message (such as when your additional number is a mobile phone number) however you cannot reply.

We recommend using a modern messaging app such as Signal Private Messenger or WickrMe in conjunction with our anonymous mobile data for sending messages.

Why you shouldn't use SMS

SMS is not a secure means of communicating and should be avoided at all costs. SMS can also be used as a means of launching an attack, such as a silent SMS. Our SIMs protect against these & other SS7 attacks.
